The First Response Center
Reverend Edwin C. Sanders, II, is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Metropolitan Interdenominational Church, First Response Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
The First Response Center provides primary care and long list other social services for persons living with HIV and AIDS such as housing assistance, substance abuse and addiction treatment, mental health counseling as well as services for the homeless population in Nashville.
Rev. Sanders opens up the conversation on how churches can better use their resources to intentionally provide ministry in areas that most people would not want to touch, stepping into the gaps in health care and building healthier people instead of building larger worship facilities within communities of color.
